***This posting may be used to fill multiple openings*** The Background Studies Division (BGS) in the Office of Inspector General is seeking two (2) Quality Consultants to join our new, fast-growing Quality Management (QM) team. Through the application of quality management methods and expertise in the areas of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC),the Quality Consultants assess the quality and integrity of service delivery and processes; advise/consult management on quality assurance standards and quality control testing for all facets of DHS’ statewide background study system; and will ensure compliance with state and federal background study laws that traverse publicly funded healthcare and human services programs. Responsibilities include: • Collaborate with BGS business areas and key partners to strengthen the culture of quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and continuous quality improvement (CQI) • Develop and maintain BGS’ quality management system (QMS) roadmap with quality assurance and quality control plans; and establish routine monitoring schedules • Educate and train management on various aspects of the quality management systems (QMS); and manage quality events • Organize, coordinate, and support the BGS Division’s Quality Management System (QMS) readiness activities • Escalate systemic problems and provide appropriate recommendations/solutions for immediate and long-term resolution • Support compliance and quality management teams by performing trend analysis for various aspects of DHS’ statewide background study system; and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures • Analyze data, evaluate activities, and complete reports and scorecards to assess accuracy and controls • Serve as liaison and quality expert on behalf of the division interfacing with various stakeholders
